
Lexi Thompson

Coach Lexi was born in Tampa, Florida, where she began playing volleyball at the age of 9. Coach Lexi attended Sickles High School in Tampa, FL and Durant High School in Plant City, FL. She was a 4-year Varsity starter, named first team all-conference each year, recipient of the Kirkwood Award, and was Tampa Tribunes Parade of Athletes Player of the Year. After high school, Coach Lexi received a scholarship to play as an outside hitter at the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss she started 128 of 132 matches, became a member of the 1000/1000 club, set the career-record for kills, aces, and double-doubles, and helped lead the Rebels to four straight winning seasons. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and then attended the University of Tampa. While at the University of Tampa, she helped the Spartans achieve their first national championship title in beach volleyball and graduated with a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship. Coach Lexi is excited for the upcoming season with Dynamite and looks forward to sharing her love and passion for the sport of volleyball.
